Well done Keswick

Just when we are down but not out, the Keswick Tourism Association emails me this afternoon to say that the Food Fayre will be going ahead on Friday, yes this Friday from 1pm till 7pm and wait for it. Julia Bradbury no less is going to switch on the lights at 5.30pm.  So you must all come down to the Market Square apart from poor kira who is in Germany of course, but we will think of you...

Bella will have to come too because she has been a teeny bit sulky lately, something to do with being stuck in the house and when a Border Terrier is sulky, she lets you know it. Mind you she has not had a decent walk since her birthday on the 11th and if she could talk she would be saying "let's go fellwalkies".

great news Lyn, I'm off to Cockermouth in a moment to show my support for whatever stores are open by making a start on the Christmas present shopping (friends and family could be getting some unusual gifts this year!!)

Great Jayne, I will be showing my support for Keswick this week too and then I hope to come to Cockermouth for some Christmas shopping the week after. I see the weather is picking up here so I want to go out on the fells with Bella this weekend which means I must hang the wallpaper in the lounge today worst luck....I had better crack on.

My internet is back! I'd been disconnected since yesterday morning. Well, it's not really back yet, but my neighbours gave my their wifi, and it works. Thank you, Julie and Benny. Well, not only border terriers get sulky when the can't go out for walking for a while, kiras do the same. I wish I could come tomorrow to the Market Square, and of course I'll be thinking of you all tomorrow afternoon. Let me participate with the one or the other picture, Lyn.
Believe me, there will be no rain during the Food Fayre, for sure!

Well, we went along, and the bloke standing next to Ewan appeared on the TV! It was nice seeing a good crowd. Hope that things are coming along with Cockermouth's stores, will have to pop along some time. I miss going through the town centre, as I love seeing the xmas lights!
Hope that Bella cheers up soon! Enjoy your walking at the weekend.

Glad to see the area getting back to normal. I know we are looking forward to our holiday in January (assuming the Keswick Bridge timeshares were not flooded)

I am not aware of the timeshares at Keswick Bridge being flooded, the good news this morning was that Greta Bridge has been declared safe and re opened.
